Bratton holds a Bachelor of Science degree in economics from Iowa State University and a Master of Arts degree in economics from the University of Arizona. After finishing his graduate work, he spent four years working as an economist for the United States Department of Commerce, Bureau of Economic Analysis in Washington, D.C. He specialized there in economic modeling and forecasting, in work related to a satellite set of accounts to the Gross National Product. Brian Tan is the founder and CEO of Zicasso.com, a unique site that matches travelers with a network of carefully pre-qualified travel agencies & tour operators that compete for the travelers' business. Travelers get personalized, handcrafted itinerary bids—all within a Web 2.0 environment.
Brian has extensive Internet business experience, having launched and grown businesses from zero to several hundred million dollars in revenue. He spent 10 years in senior management roles at Cisco Systems, with responsibilities for growing Internet networking businesses as well as the Global Learning Network, a web-based learning solution. Brian’s passion for travel has taken him to 38 countries. During his travels, he developed a passion for learning about and contributing to social entrepreneurship projects that improve the lives of local communities.
Brian received his MBA and MS in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from MIT as well as BS in Electrical Engineering from Brown University.
